The Paddle Board Adventure will have you gliding on the water in no time with this fully-guided stand-up paddle boarding tour. 

Launching from various locations in the Tampa Bay area, the Paddle Board Adventure will take you through the shallow channels and mangrove islands of our beautiful waterways.  

During your tour, our Adventure Guides will share information about the Florida ecology and the local wildlife you see along the way, as well as share some of the history of the local area. This adventure will also include a brief lesson prior to hitting the water to make sure that you know all of the tips & tricks for paddling.  Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned paddler, this adventure is perfect for everyone!


This outdoor adventure features stand up paddle boards with local Adventure Guides who know the waterways of the area like the back of their hand.

All necessary gear will be provided – boards, paddles, and USCG approved life vests – and the pre-tour lesson will give you a confidence boost before you hit the water.

How long does it take do complete the tour?

About 75 minutes from start to finish.  You should also plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to your tour.

Where do we go on our tour?

Our Paddle Board Adventures will launch from RE Olds Park in Oldsmar, and take you through the waters of Upper Tampa Bay.

Do I need to make a reservation?

Yes, all of our adventures require a reservation.  You can book online or call us at (813) 448-5635 to make a reservation.

What should I wear?

We recommend that you wear clothing that can get wet. While most of our adventurers stay dry, there is a chance you will get wet. Dryfit type shirts work best, bottoms can be bathing suits, running shorts, yoga pants, etc. Water shoes are recommended. We advise that eyewear (like sunglasses) should have a retaining strap or string if they are prescription or expensive glasses

What if I've never gone paddling before?

That’s okay! All of our Paddle Board Adventures start with a brief, but thorough, tutorial on how to paddle on with us! We’ll teach you the basics of how to stand on the board, the best way to paddle, and how you can navigate through the waters of Upper Tampa Bay with us. We have many beginners join us for our Paddle Board Adventures to find themselves confidently paddling in no time!

What should I bring with me?

Please bring water with you, it’s essential to stay hydrated! It’s a great idea to bring a snack for energy. Sunscreen, sunglasses, water shoes, and a hat are recommended. Phones or cameras can be brought along at your own risk but need to be in a waterproof case with a float attached. We also recommend that you bring a towel & a spare change of dry clothes to leave it in your car until done. We have dry storage available for car keys.

Do I need to bring a paddle or board with me? What about a life jacket?

Nope! We provide the board or kayak, paddle, and required USCG approved life jacket, which remains on the board unless you prefer to wear it.

Will we see any animals on our tour?

As all of our Adventures are part of the Florida ecosystem, you will see a variety of wildlife during your time with us. Marine birds, like egrets, pelicans, and herons are common, as well as osprey and sometimes, a bald eagle can be spotted. There is a wide variety of wildlife that call the waters of Upper Tampa Bay home, so you’ll never know what you might encounter!

Will I fall in?

While it is a possibility that you may fall in the water, but not as many people fall as you think!  And, if you do fall in, we’ll help you get right back up and paddling quickly!

Do I need to know how to swim?

While we do provide a USCG approved life jacket, participants are required to be able to swim.

How can I pay? What if I do not want to pay with a credit card?

You can pay by cash or credit card.  Payment is required in advance for all reservations.  You may stop by our office to pay cash in advance.  The office is located at 423 Lafayette Blvd, at our Zip Line Adventure location.

What is your cancellation policy?

All sales are final. No refunds will be issued. If necessary, guests may reschedule their adventure reservation one time.

How much should I tip my guides?

Our guides are professionally trained to ensure that you have an educational, enjoyable, and memorable experience. The tipping guideline is the industry standard of $5-$10 per person per guide.

Do you offer group discounts?

For Leisure/Recreational Programs Only:

We offer a 5% discount to parties of 8+. We also offer discounts for Oldsmar Residents, Youth (under 11), Seniors (over 65), Military, and First Responders.

Please call us for pricing for larger corporate or youth programs.

Do you offer military or senior discounts?

We do offer discounts for military, first responders, and seniors (55+).  Discounts apply to the Zip Line Adventure and Paddle Board Adventure. Reservations must be made over the phone and proper ID is required when you check in for your tour or the discount will no longer apply.

Is there a minimum/maximum age to participate?

Children under 7 can ride on a board with an adult. Children over 7 may be able to handle their own board, but all children are different.

What if there is bad weather?

Our Adventure Guides and team monitor weather reports and lightning strikes in real time to ensure the safety of our adventuring guests. If weather is expected to interfere with a standing reservation or tour, an Empower Adventures representative will contact you at the number you provide to us when booking with an update regarding your reservation. In the event of unexpected approaching lightning or stormy weather during a tour, we ensure that we will get our guests to safety as quickly as possible.
