Uncomfortable Shoes
As you are climbing in the treetops and walking across suspension bridges, balance, and comfort are important. Uncomfortable shoes will make the experience less fun and more dangerous. Heels, platform shoes, heavy boots, flip-flops, and sandals are all poor choices when you go zip-lining. Make sure you have closed-toed athletic shoes with tread on the bottom to take safety and balance to the next level. Make sure to tie your shoes tightly, otherwise, they might fly off while you are zipping down the line!
Dresses or Skirts
Dresses and skirts are not recommended on a zipline tour. You will be flying through the air at high speeds, and your clothing will fly around throughout the run. The ideal clothing is athleticwear that will not move around once you are on the zipline. Whether you are wearing shorts or a skirt, make sure that it is long enough for comfort. You will be wearing a harness during the adventure, and you will want to have enough leg covered so you don’t have the harness rubbing directly on your skin!
Jewelry or Accessories
Before you get to Empower Adventures for your ziplining tour, make sure to remove all jewelry or accessories. Small jewelry pieces, even earrings, can easily fall out when you are gliding through the air. More often than not, you won’t even feel the accessories fly off because of the wind! Rings, bracelets, necklaces, and more should be left in a bag or back at home before the adventure begins.
